Hello All,
My wife has 2 little brother's diagnosed with ALD. She was tested and I am happy to say she does not carry the gene.
The main reason I joined this support group is because her youngest brother has really progressed rapidly. He doesn't qualify for Lorenzo's Oil, so we are basically all just waiting for the inevitable.
She is taking it very hard...some days are worse than others. Whenever she has a bad day, I find myself at a loss for words. I'm not sure what to say to her. How do you comfort someone when you can't say "It's going to be alright"?
I can't say I know how she feels because it's not my little brother. If anyone has any advice on what to say or how to comfort her, I'm all ears.
Appreciate the help.
God bless,
SoDak
